Rozay explained to MTV News that it came about organically. "We was in the studio and actually there were four Gallardo Lamborghinis outside, and we pulled up a beat and we just was having fun, man," he said. "It's a real good vibe, it's for the women who really just shooting for the stars. She don't mean no harm, she just wanna be with a bawse."
• The music video was directed by MMG's Dre Films. "The concept behind 'Gallardo' is basically fly whips," Dre Films told MTV News. "We've got a couple [Gallardos] out here. We have beautiful women, so it's a fly record and the ladies are gonna love it. This is one of the videos that I notice has the most cameos in it. A lot of the people who are featured on Self Made Vol. 3 are in the video and I'm just glad they came out and showed love and support."
