Songfacts®:

  • Hollywood Undead open Day of the Dead with this ode to one of the band's favorite pastimes. "We were in the studio drinking as usual," grinned J-Dog. "We got Big Gulp cups of Ice from 7/11 and filled them with champagne and orange juice. We ended up walking around Sunset Boulevard with mimosas that bystanders thought were orange juice. People think we're different now, but the band still acts the same way and does the exact same s--t we've done since we started in 2005. So, we wrote a song about the moment."
  • The song title phrase originates from a famous line of dialogue, "Round up the usual suspects," spoken by the local Vichy police chief, Louis Renault, in the 1942 film Casablanca. Renault uttered the line in response to the news that the German, Major Strasser, had been shot.

The phrase received a boost when The Usual Suspects became the title of a successful 1995 crime-thriller movie starring Gabriel Byrne and Kevin Spacey.
