Songfacts®:

  • If this uptempo Ian Hunter composition sounds somewhat juvenile, it is for a good reason; "Lisa Likes Rock 'N' Roll" was written for Mick Ronson's 3-year-old daughter, who was in the studio during the recording of the Short Back 'N' Sides album.

According to Ronson's widow in the 2009 revised and updated biography Mick Ronson - The Spider With The Platinum Hair, "Lisa was too little. She had been in there to sing 'here's my daddy' and she was like three."
  • Ronson played guitar, keyboards and contributed vocals to the session.
  • The song, which runs 3:56 seconds, was released in the UK in 1981 backed by "Noises." >>>
