Songfacts®:

  • This song finds the Icona Pop duo of Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt shout-singing in unison about partying. "With love this deep, we don't need no sleep… We can do this all night," they proclaim on the beat heavy anthem.
  • The two girls have a rule when they go into the studio to try to come up with something different each time. "We mix it up," Hjelt told Hunger TV, "and I think we learned to write like that because we are constantly on the road. So sometimes we are recording in a closet, sometimes in a fancy studio. Sometimes I'll sit and write a lyric on the plane and then we'll finish it up together or vice versa. It's all about feelings so it's very easy."
  • The music video was shot in New York by Dori Oskowitz (Kesha's "Take It Off," Passion Pit's "Constant Conversations") and was inspired by the LGBT house ballroom subculture. The clip is the product of a collaboration between the Icona Pop duo and the wine-and-vodka product, Absolut Tune (the Icona Pop duo may be '90s chicks, but they were born in the '80s and are of drinking age). Absolut previously partnered with another Swedish artist, Swedish House Mafia for their "Greyhound" visual.
  • Jawo explained the mid-tempo track's meaning to MTV News: "The song is basically about expressing yourself to not be afraid of showing how you do it," she said, "and when you find the right element you just want to do it all night."
  • This was Icona Pop's first #1 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart. Remixes from Cash Cash, Crazibiza, Dilemmachine and Tony Tone, K.Flay, Wayne G and LFB and Captain Cuts all contributed to its club play.
