Songfacts®:

  • James Morrison wrote this with Ryan Tedder, who is best known for co-writing Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" and being the frontman of OneRepublic. Morrison told The Sun September 25, 2008 about the collaboration: "Working with Ryan Tedder was cool and this track came really quickly. Ryan is passionate about music, and can play eight or nine different musical instruments. He is amazing. I can even visualize a video for it, which helped write the song in a way. I just liked the idea of the rain, pouring and pouring on me."
