Songfacts®:

  • Pop singer Noah Cyrus joins Jimmie Allen on this anthemic ballad about finding love. Noah, who is Miley Cyrus' younger sister, wrote the song with Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line, Jordan Schmidt, Ilsey Juber and Dernst "D'Mile" Emile II. Once it found its way to Allen's producer, Ash Bowers, the country star immediately wanted to jump on the track.

"I didn't have a song, a duet, that felt like that I just wanted a collaboration," Allen told The Boot. "I think it's a great song, and when I heard it, I was honored that they'd even let me sing on it."
  • Here, Jimmy Allen and Noah Cyrus reflect on finally finding love together after each endured romantic setbacks.

If only back then we'd have been together
But it was just you and that was just me
    Before we found love
    Now this is us

Said Allen to Apple Music: "This song takes me back to the innocence of young love, when you loved hard without fear of getting hurt. As you grow older, you realize all the times you messed up and made mistakes and how lucky you are to have them in your life. When things are meant to be, they always work themselves out."
  • Though Noah Cyrus is best known as a pop singer, she has a significant link to Nashville; her father is country star Billy Ray Cyrus.
