Ma Baby Girl

Album: Parlor Songs (1900)

Songfacts®:

  • This was sold as the answer song to "Hello! Ma Baby"; written by the same husband-and-wife team - Howard and Emerson - and arranged by Max Hoffman, it was published the same year in Milwaukee by Chas K. Harris, (i.e. Charles Harris of "After The Ball" fame).

Somewhat disappointing, and distinctly inferior to the original, "Ma Baby Girl" is a straight coon song. >>>
