Why Don't You Love Me

Songfacts®:

  • This nearly three-and-a-half-minute uptempo lovelorn lament sounds like it might have been recorded by a Motown artist, but it was the debut single by the British singer John Miles.

Credited erroneously to Errington, ie John Errington, his real name, it was actually written by Harry Vanda and George Young from The Easybeats. There is no question mark in the title, probably indicating it is a rhetorical question, certainly the record-buying public didn't like it, and it flopped.
  • "Why Don't You Love Me" was released on the Orange label in September 1970 backed by "If I Could See Through," which was also credited to Errington. >>>
