Songfacts®:

  • This standalone single finds Jorja Smith crooning bitter lyrics directed at a lover. He told the singer she's his "one and only" but she's been hurt by him one too many times. "It's all about someone who doesn't deserve you and thinking wow, you really had all of my once, ew," said Smith.
  • "All Of This" is a collaboration with Guiltybeatz. The Ghanaian DJ and record producer first gained prominence when his production on Mr. Eazi, Pappy Kojo and Patapaa's hit "Akwaaba" won Best African Collaboration and Song of the Year at the 2018 All Africa Music Awards. The following year, he collaborated with Beyoncé on three tracks for her The Lion King: The Gift album: "Find Your Way Back (Circle of Life)," "Keys to the Kingdom" and "Already."
  • GuiltyBeatz's production is upbeat, in contrast to Smith's angry lyrics. It is inspired by Amapiano - a style of house music that emerged in South Africa in 2012 born out of deep house, jazz and lounge music.
  • Smith said that she met Guiltybeatz when she visited Port Antonio in Jamaica for a 2019 writing camp. The song started off with "a fall to the floor type beat," then he shared Amapiano playlists with her. During the first lockdown in 2020, GuiltyBeatz sent Smith a version of the song like it is now. They then finished writing the song remotely, exchanging messages over WhatsApp with his writer girlfriend Abby.
