Songfacts®:

  • Justice Crew is an Australian Hip-Hop/Dance music group comprising Lukas "Wildrok" Bellesini, Paul Eric Merciadez, Samson Cosray Smith, Solo Tohi and twin brothers John Len and Len John Ruela Pearce. The members were originally in two separate dance troupes, but merged as one group in 2009.
  • Justice Crew first came to the public's attention when they won the fourth season of Australia's Got Talent in 2010. They signed a record deal with Sony Music Australia soon afterwards.
  • This song was written by Justice League with Canadian songwriting and producing duo The Messengers, whose previous credits include Justin Bieber's "Never Say Never," Chris Brown's "Next 2 You" and Pitbull's "Feel This Moment."
  • The song title translates from its original Spanish to 'Whatever will be.' The phrase came from a movie called The Barefoot Contessa, where the Italian character Rossano Brazzi's family motto was "Che Sera, Sera." Songwriters Ray Evans and Jay Livingston then switched the "Che" to "Que" for Doris Day's hit tune, "Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)."
  • The song debuted at #1 on the ARIA singles chart in the week commencing 12 May 2014. It spent nine weeks at the top, making "Que Sera" the longest-running single by an Australian act since the ARIA Charts began in 1983. The record was previously held jointly by Austen Tayshus with "Australiana" (1983), Savage Garden with "Truly Madly Deeply" (1997) and Gotye with "Somebody That I Used To Know" (2011), which each had an eight-week run on the summit.

Justice Crew's mark was overtaken by Tones and I's "Dance Monkey" which entered its tenth week at #1 on the chart dated October 7, 2019.
