Songfacts®:

  • "Worship You" is a slow-burning love song where Kane Brown uses devotional language to illustrate how much he adores the girls in his family.

I ain't saying you can walk on water
Or that you can turn it into wine
But, girl, it feels like a miracle that you're mine

Brown told Radio.com that his wife Katelyn Jae and his little daughter Kingsley served as inspiration for the song. "They're both my girls and I'd do anything for them," he said. "You know, I worship the ground they walk on."
  • Brown recorded another love song set against the backdrop of his Christian faith back in 2017. During "Heaven," he sings about a romance with a girl who's so perfect, he's convinced she's sent from above. Unlike "Worship You," Brown didn't co-write "Heaven."
  • Brown co-wrote "Worship You" with:

His regular co-writer Matt McGinn ("Homesick," "Cool Again").

Alexander Izquierdo from the Miami team Monsters & Strangerz, and frequent Khalid co-writer Ryan Vojtesak. Both songwriters also contributed to the writing of Brown's track with Khalid and Swae Lee, "Be Like That."
  • The simple video finds Brown and Katelyn enjoying the nature surrounding them in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Baby Kingsley appears in her mother's arms halfway through the dreamy clip. Brown told People that a trip to Wyoming had long been on his family's bucket list.

"Jackson Hole has been a place that we wanted to go for some time," he said. "It was so beautiful and remote and we plan to go back again for a family vacation after this experience."
  • Kane Brown recalled to ABC Audio how his session with Izquierdo, McGinn and Vojtesak had been hard going until they came up with the idea for "Worship You." "When we were writing it, we really didn't know what to write about. I think we tried like four different songs before we wrote that song," he said. "But I remember us writing it. It came, you know, so fluent. We actually wrote it pretty fast."
