  • October 21, 1993
  • Kane Brown was raised mostly by his mother and grandparents in rural northwest Georgia and the Chattanooga, Tennessee area. His father is black and part Cherokee, and his mom is white.
  • Instead of lullabies, his mom sang her son Shania Twain and Sugarland. "I was a mama's boy," Kane Brown recalled to Billboard magazine, "so I was just like, 'I want to sing like you.'"
  • Kane Brown has known Lauren Alaina since they both attended Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School, in their native Georgia. They were in the choir together after Alaina heard Brown humming. She coaxed him into singing and persuaded her shy classmate that he had a good voice.
  • Brown auditioned on both American Idol and X-Factor after the success of his school friend Lauren Alaina on Idol. He was chosen for X-Factor after an audition in 2013, but left the show after producers asked him to be part of a boy band.
  • Following his experience on X Factor, Brown started to post cover versions of popular songs by Brantley Gilbert, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Lee Brice and others on social media. After his cover of George Strait's "Check Yes or No" went viral Brown released his own song "Used to Love You Sober", which became his first Hot 100 hit.
  • Kane Brown made his national television debut on December 1, 2016 when he performed "Thunder In The Rain" on Ellen.
  • As a teen, Brown set his sights on joining the U.S. Army. He passed the qualifying exam to enter the military but at camp they told him he'd have to remove his tattoos before they let him in, which he refused to do.
  • Kane Brown became the first act to top all five main US country charts simultaneously on October 28, 2017. After releasing the deluxe edition of his self-titled debut LP, Brown claimed top spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Meanwhile, his single "What Ifs" was #1 on the Country chart, the Airplay tally and Billboard's Country Streaming Songs listing. And at the same time "Heaven" reached #1 for Country Digital Song Sales.
  • Kane Brown married Katelyn Jae on October 12, 2018. The happy couple celebrated their wedding with around 200 family and friends at Mint Springs Farm in Franklin, Tennessee.
  • When Kane Brown started posting his songs on social media, he wasn't anticipating making a career out of music. He was working two jobs and trying to afford his truck. When he got bored, he would sing covers and post them on Instagram and Facebook, just hoping to get followers.
  • Kane Brown's teenage decision to get a giant Batman symbol tattoo on his chest is one he now deeply regrets.

In a 2024 interview with Audacy, the country star revealed that his Dark Knight-inspired ink has been a source of frustration for a long time. "I hate this tattoo," he admitted, explaining that the original design has undergone three cover-up attempts since he got it at 18.

An artist reworked the tattoo into a hawk design, but Brown still isn't thrilled with the results. "You can actually tell if I take my shirt off, but if I don't, you can't see the hawk's face," he said, noting that this is one reason he rarely goes shirtless.
  • Brown's wife Katelyn is the more outgoing half of the couple. Kane described her as someone who "will talk to a tree," while he's quiet and reserved. This dynamic helps balance their public appearances, as Kane often feels uncomfortable with the attention, especially when people stare or film him in public settings.
  • During Kane Brown's 2021-2022 Blessed & Free Tour, he became the first country artist to headline all 29 NBA basketball arenas in a single tour.
