Songfacts®:

  • Vocalist Tom Meighan told to The Sun May 22, 2009 that the band see this song as their very own Tarantino soundtrack with its Kraut-rock bass and furious vocals. He said: "It's a Tarantino take on the 21st Century. There are a lot of angry men out there and Serge's lyrics show what they're saying."
  • This was included on the soundtrack of the football video game FIFA 09.
  • Guitarist and chief songwriter Serge Pizzorno told the NME June 13, 2009: "It's a proper British rock 'n' roll song to me, it's dirty garage rock. The lyrics are a real vicious spit, really angry. Tom's vocals are amazing, 'All you f--kers can't touch me…' I couldn't sing that, but he delivers it perfectly."

  • Fairy from Berlin, GermanyIt was absolutely not written for/about Liam Gallagher. Tom dedicated it to Liam a couple of times when Kasabian toured with Oasis in 2009, but he also dedicated it to many other people, often their support acts, like for example Miles Kane. Dedications are just an acknowledgment, a nice gesture, and have rarely anything to do with the song's content.
  • Liam from Utrecht, Armeniahe said during the oasis concerts at wembley stadium this summer, it's written for and about Liam Gallagher, and you can see that back in those lyrics!
  • Amber from Brooklyn, Nydoes anyone think he looks like Kurt Cobain a little?
