Songfacts®:

  • A track from Kasabian's first album, "L.S.F." became a concert favorite. When their guitarist/songwriter Sergio Pizzomo appeared on the UK show Songbook, he explained: "We lived on this farm all together for a few years. It was great, we got signed and we moved out to this farm. We saw ourselves as this sort of little cult. You know, Manson family kind of Jim Jones Kool-Aid sort of vibe going on. It was incredible. We just used to make music and listen - it was just completely consumed, we detached from the whole world. We didn't do anything other than just pace about and make tunes.

L.S.F. started as an electro tune. We started with this beat going round, and a little verse, and just kind of got the melody going. And then it just kind of wrote itself. The lyrics were kind of us against the world."
