Songfacts®:

  • This Walt Wilkins and Davis Raines penned song finds Kellie singing about the power of love and redemption. The lead single from the singer's fourth studio album, it was released to radio on May 10, 2013 and to digital outlets four days later.
  • Pickler cut the song in between rehearsals for the US TV series Dancing With the Stars, which she went on to win. The singer told Rolling Stone that she brought a little mood-enhancer to the recording session. "I had my wedding video playing in the studio so that I could see my husband (songwriter-producer Kyle Jacobs) while I was singing," Pickler explained. "We didn't see each other a lot when I was on the show, so I got even more emotional singing, because I missed him."
  • The song was previously recorded by both Kenny Rogers on his 2006 album Water & Bridges and Pam Tillis on her 2007 set RhineStoned, but neither released it as a single.
  • The Roman White-directed video reunited Pickler with her Dancing With the Stars partner Derek Hough as we see the pair do an overtly sensual routine to the song. "We'd be dancing and then start busting out laughing," Pickler recalled to Rolling Stone. "Derek is like a brother to me. Since I know him and have danced with him so much, I'm comfortable with him and trust him."
