  • Kelly Rowland's fourth solo album takes its title from this song. One of Rowland's favorite tracks on the record, it doubles as an overarching theme. "I decided to speak on what I was doing in my life," she told Billboard magazine. "There's so much talking and people gonna be like 'Is she really talking about this on the album?' Even down to things on 'Kisses Down Low.' People are like, 'you're talking a good game right now.' I thought it would be really cool to name the album after those reactions."

The phrase 'talk a good game' means to talk convincingly but fail to act effectively. Usher used the idiom in his 2012 single "Lemme See" where he concluded. "Talk a good game mate, come on. Hollering 'bout what you gon' do to me. Don't talk about it, be about it. Let me see, let me see, let me see."
  • The song features R&B songwriter Kevin Cossom, who has penned tunes for the likes of Keri Hilson ("Knock You Down'") and Rick Ross ("Speedin'").
