Bunny Rabbits Are Nice

Album: Not On An Album (1992)

Songfacts®:

  • The very first song to be written by Kimberly Perry was a furry tune about her bunny named Beatrice, She penned it at the age of eight at her then home in Mobile, Alabama, but sadly, poor Beatrice lived less than a year before hanging herself in her cage. "I was absolutely horrified," recalled to Kimberly to Dave Dawson of Nu Country TV, "she was my best friend that year. She was so cute with long fluffy ears - that's how I got started writing. I have evidence on video but it's under lock and key."

The bunny ballad writer would go onto far greater things with her younger brothers Neil and Reid as the Country trio, The Band Perry.
