Songfacts®:

  • This Jon Randall and Luke Dick penned song with a bucking-bull metaphor represents the first ever time that Moore recorded outside material. "That's my song," Moore told Rolling Stone of the jangly, energetic tune. "[It's for] anybody that's had any doubt in me. I heard all the rumbles when I went away for a minute from radio. I heard what other promoters, other labels, said about me. That's my middle finger to everybody and saying, 'F--k that, we're going strong.' I've always been that guy in the song."
  • Luke Dick had a hand in penning Moore's Wild Ones tracks "Magic" and "That's Alright With Me" and the pair subsequently formed a friendship. When Dick approached Moore with "a song he thought I might dig," Moore knew it was time to record his first outside track.

"I was pretty quickly sucked in to the feel of this song and the message behind it," he recalled to Billboard magazine: "I feel I've taken several of life's punches over the years, and it's what you do when that happens that will shape the person you become. This song was me and that's why it's the first outside song I've ever recorded."
  • The video shows Moore on a zero-to-hero musical journey. The singer explained to Billboard how the visual's concept arose from feeling a little lost in life.

"We wanted to capture the feeling of losing your way along the journey and then with a little help, finding your way back to the purity of the reason you ever began the journey," he said. "It's easy to get distracted and lose faith at times... this song and video is about regaining that belief in yourself."
