Songfacts®:

  • Many people believe that the reason this world is in such a mess is because it is controlled by a conspiratorial organization called the Illuminati, which masterminds events and controls world affairs through governments and corporations. These conspiracy theorists explain that the reason why we have so many wars is that these powerful people make money out of them - numerous weapons have to be constructed during wartime followed by millions and millions on restoring what is broken once peace is restored. They claim that the ultimate aim of the Illuminati is a totalitarian one world government, replacing sovereign states, which the economic collapse of America will help herald. Korn exposes their plans on this track with the assistance of Dubstep producers Excision and Downlink.
  • Frontman Jonathan Davis told Billboard magazine that he has been researching the Illuminati, saying: "It's all coming down [to] a one-world government, and I can see it and I read about it, and this stuff's actually starting to happen." He added regarding the American president: "I feel like Obama's an Illuminati puppet… it's basically dragged this country down into the worst it's ever been. 'You've built this house of shame' - everybody looked up at the White House and America and everything, and now I think it's like a house of shame."
