• KSI dropped the song on June 18, 2021 when because of the COVID travel restrictions, most people had been unable to take a vacation for over a year. He said this meant the song could be interpreted literally as well, "Since a holiday would be lovely to have."
• KSI released "Holiday" as the fourth single from All Over The Place. "You" was initially set to be the fourth single, but when snippets of the tune and other album tracks were leaked on social media he changed it to something they'd not already heard.
