Songfacts®:

  • This was Kylie's first commercial single release for over 2 years since her 2005 battle against breast cancer.
  • This was written and produced by the little known London Electro group Kish Mauve.
  • The petite singer spent some time in Ibiza in the summer of 2007 listening to club anthems, which influenced her choice of this song.
  • Kylie got the idea for her video when she DJed at BoomBox, a fashionable nightclub in east London, during London Fashion Week. It was shot at London's Shepperton Studios.
  • This became Kylie's 14th successive UK Top 10 hit single, a run which dated back to the release of "Spinning Around" in 2000. The Australian singer thus broke her own personal best, the run of 13 straight Top 10 singles with which she opened her career in 1988 and which finally came to a halt in 1991 when "Word Is Out" only reached #16. It also topped the ARIA Singles Chart in her native Australia.
  • On her record label's website, Minogue commented that she loved this song "from the moment I heard it. It was a joy to record!"
  • This topped the charts in Kylie's native Australia and also reached #1 in Spain and Taiwan.
