Songfacts®:

  • This is the opening track of Ladyhawke's third album, Wild Things. She explained the song's meaning to Tonedeaf.com: "I didn't so much want it to be a traditional love song. I wanted it to be more like – if you stay with me through all the bad stuff, then you know you've got someone good, so it was a sort of different take on a traditional love song."
  • The lyric video features animation from Australian artist Paul Robertson. Ladyhawke asked Robertson after seeing his Simpsons couch gag video, which is a pixel version of the original couch gag with a design based on early 1990s computer games.
