Songfacts®:

  • Lecrae links up his friend and fellow Christian hip-hop artist Trip Lee on this cut. They spit rhymes about problems with the content of secular Hip-Hop, and the need for the views and beliefs of Christian rappers to be heard. Lecrae spoke with Songfacts about the track in a 2012 interview. He said: "What we wanted to do with that song was really just articulate that there are a lot of songs that say what they want to say and express their views and their beliefs. But there's kind of a closed window when it comes to people who have a Christian perspective, so we want to have a voice in the marketplace, as well. We want to talk about the things that are near and dear to us, and so that's how that song got burst. And one of the things that we believe in and hold to is that we love Jesus. So how can we not talk about him?"
  • The song was nominated for an award for Rap/Hip-Hop Recorded Song of the Year at the 2007 GMA Dove Awards but lost out to KJ-52's "Never Look Away."
