Songfacts®:

  • This power ballad was produced by Dr. Luke ("I Kissed a Girl," "Circus") and co-written by Avril Lavigne, Lukasz Gottwald and Max Martin. It was originally recorded by Lavigne and included on the Limited Edition version of her 2007 The Best Damn Thing album.
  • Chace Crawford, who is best known for his role as Nate Archibald in the teen drama TV series Gossip Girl, made a cameo appearance in the music video. A source told People magazine how Lewis hooked up with Crawford: "Chace went to London a couple months ago for meetings and to promote series Gossip Girl. He went to a party and ended up meeting Leona." The two stars "hit it off and talk every once in a while and have become fast friends." The source added: "Leona called Chace and asked if he would be in her next video. He obviously said yes."
