Songfacts®:

  • Is Your Love Big Enough is an album about the perils and pleasures of romance, and this gently rollicking song finds La Havas singing about a rogue ex. The intelligently layered tune was co-produced by TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek, who's also worked with Jane's Addiction and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
  • La Havas told Reuters that's she's "very influenced by the old blues and generally just singing from your heart." She added: "Singers like Billie Holiday sang as if they had been through [life], so I'm really influenced by that and I wanted to inject that into the record. I've used the songs on the album to demonstrate my head and heart over the last three years."

  • Adrien from Near Paris, Franceforget? I don't think so, and here's why:

The key concept in 'Inception' is that you can plant an idea in someone's mind very simply through a process known as the 'irony process theory', quote : if I tell you not to think about a pink elephant what's is the first thing you think about? a pink elephant! unquote

so when she says "forget" she's really saying "you are so totally going to remember me"; she's basically planning to get under our collective skin and it's totally working for me XD
