Songfacts®:

  • This deceptively titled sing-song track contains a single verse in which Lil Peep contrasts the pains of this world with the beauty of life.

Tryin' to keep your cool at your grandfather's funeral
Finding out eventually the feeling wasn't mutual
You were not invited 'cause you're nothing like the usual
Isn't life beautiful? I think that life is beautiful

The track was originally released on Peep's 2015 Feelz EP. A remixed version with added synths by longtime collaborators Smokeasac and IIVI was included on his first posthumous album Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 2.
  • The song ends on a bleak note, as Peep imagines a death alone in his room from a drug overdose.

There comes a time when everybody meets the same fate
I think I'ma die alone inside my room

The lyric preempts Lil Peep's tragic end. He was found dead on his tour bus on November 15, 2017 as a result of an accidental fentanyl–xanax overdose.
  • Some of the footage for the accompanying video was shot several years ago at his home in Long Beach, New York. His mom said: "Gus liked shooting in the basement, and in the garage. He liked playing with atmosphere. In this one, he was playing with light and shadow."
