Songfacts®:

  • Lil Wayne is a survivor. Since joining Cash Money Records as the youngest member of the label at the age of 11, he has achieved nonstop success. However, there have been obstacles along the way, including an eight-month prison sentence and epileptic seizures. Haters claimed he was finished, but Weezy is unbreakable.

I ain't finna break or fix the brakes
You hear me late, I'm laughing in your face
Now fix your face, I can't disintegrate, 'cause I facilitate a mil a day
    For like a million days

Wayne also talks about the unbreakable bonds he has with his homies.

    G-code, G-code, we can't break the G-code
    We bros (can't be broken)
We bros, we bros, we can't break for these hoes

One of the rules of the G-Code, also known as the "Gangster Code." is that men should not abandon their bros in order to pursue relationships with women.
  • The hook is sung by Danish singer-songwriter Thomas Troelsen, who also co-wrote and co-produced the track. Troelsen's other writing credits include Pibull and Jennifer Lopez's Official 2014 FIFA World Cup Song, "We Are One (Ole Ola)" and David Guetta's 2016 UEFA Euro Song "This One's For You."
  • Lunchmoney Lewis, who co-wrote "Can't Be Broken" with producer Ben Billion and Thomas Troelsen, originally pitched the song to Weezy's friend, Young Money Entertainment President Mack Maine, at a grocery store in Miami. "He said he waited a couple months to play it for Wayne because he wanted him to be in the right mind-set," Billions explained to Rolling Stone.
