Songfacts®:

  • This bouncy rap-rock anthem is Limp Bizkit's first official single since 2014's "Endless Slaughter." Released on September 30, 2021, when the members of Limp Bizkit were in their 50s, it finds lead singer Fred Durst showing his age.

    Can't live with 'em
    Can't live without 'em
New kid back on the block with a R.I.P
Dad got the sag in the back with a drip

Back in early 2000s, you either loved or hated Limp Bizkit's innovative mix of rap and rock. Now they're middle-aged rockers looking to divide opinion again.
  • A father in his 50s, Durst pokes fun at himself for being a hipster dad fronting a rock band.

Check out your dad with the swag on the floor
Momma gonna brag when I walk in the door
Y'all ain't ever seen a guerrilla in the mist
Walk the line so fine with a blindfold

Durst made headlines on July 29, 2021 when he debuted a new retro-daddy look at the rap-rock veterans' concert at Metro in Chicago. The singer sported a handlebar mustache, accompanied by wavy salt-and-pepper hair.
  • Limp Bizkit debuted this song two days later at the Lollapalooza Festival. They concluded their 10-song set at the Grant Park, Chicago event by playing it over the PA system.
  • The song is the lead single from Limp Bizkit's first new studio album since 2011's Gold Cobra. The long-in-the-works record received notoriety for its repeated delays and years of development hell. For a while, it went by the working title Stampede of the Disco Elephants, but the band threw that name into the garbage disposer and went with Still Sucks.
  • Band members Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers and John Otto wrote the song. Durst also gets credited as producer along with frequent Juice WRLD collaborator Purps and Zakk Cervini (Halsey and Yungblud's "11 Minutes," All Time Low's "Monsters").
