Songfacts®:

  • This flirty, summer-ready song finds the Little Mix girls promising that during the hot weather they will "bring the bounce back." The quartet's first release on RCA Records UK, they dropped the tune on June 14, 2019.
  • The song was co-penned by American actress and singer Jude Demorest, who has also written for Little Mix' fellow girl group Fifth Harmony. It was produced by the Norwegian duo Stargate (Rihanna, Katy Perry).
  • "Bounce Back" features an interpolation from Soul II Soul's 1989 hit song "Back To Life (However Do You Want Me)." The chorus samples that hit tune's iconic "However do you want me? However do you need me?" couplet.
  • Jesy Nelson was unwell on the day the girls shot the single's artwork. Their team made the decision to draft in a fake Jesy for the art, and the four girls shot with their backs to the camera.
