Songfacts®:

  • This festive ballad is about coming home for the Christmas break and snuggling up with the one you love. As the other three girls deliver '50s-inspired doo-wop harmonies, Little Mix's Leigh Anne Pinnock declares:

Cause I've been gone so long
    But I kept holding on
Cause I need to show you just how much I love you this Christmas
  • "One I've Been Missing" is Little Mix' first original festive song. However, they did previously release a "Christmas mix" of their 2015 single "Love Me Like You ."
  • Leigh-Anne Pinnock wrote the song with:

Producer and topline writer Tre Jean-Marie, who has co-written many of Craig David's tunes, including "Got It Good" and "Magic." He also co-penned Mabel's 2019 festive tune, "Loneliest Time Of Year."

Jez Ashurst and Rachel Furner, who co-wrote with Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall the LM5 track "Woman's World." Furner previously contributed to the writing of Little Mix's single "Secret Love Song."

Singer-songwriter Sinead Harnett, whose debut album Lessons in Love, was released on September 20, 2019.
