Songfacts®:

  • This Polow Da Don produced song is the third single by American R&B singer Lloyd, from his fourth album, King of Hearts.
  • The romantics among you probably picture Cupid as a winged boy armed with a bow and a quiver of arrows. He is frequently shown in paintings and sculptures shooting his bow to inspire romantic love, often as an icon of Valentine's Day. In current culture he is the personification of love and courtship in general.
In Roman mythology, Cupid was the son of goddess Venus and god Mars. His name is from the Latin cupido, meaning "desire" - Cupid was the god of love. In the Greek version he was named Eros and seen as one of the primordial gods.
