Songfacts®:

  • The second single from Truth Is A Beautiful Thing finds Hannah Reid crooning about an ex-lover who did not treat her right.

Only now do I see the big picture
But I swear that these scars are fine
Only you could've hurt me in this perfect way tonight
  • The song was produced by London-based musician Jon Hopkins, who has also worked with Coldplay. London Grammar did not actually work in person with Hopkins for this tune. LG's Dot Major explained to Billboard magazine:

"We have met up with him a few times and discussed how we wanted to work together. But in terms of the song, we basically just kind of produced it and then we just gave him the project and he just added loads of stuff basically. He kind of produced over the top of what we'd done and turned it into this magical thing."
