It's Nice 'Ere, Innit?

Songfacts®:

  • Like the novelty song "Luton Airport," this was inspired by an advertisement for Campari; backed by "Is It Right (Is It Wrong)?" it is credited as written by Webb and West, and was released in 1979 by Lorraine Chase, who starred in the advert. Thirty years and more on, the odd collector's copy still turns up for sale including on eBay; it was pressed on the EMI label but all the "antiques" appear to be demo copies. If it was actually officially released, one suspects this is one that both Lorraine Chase and EMI would rather forget. >>>
