Songfacts®:

  • This is the opening track of Start Here, Maddie & Tae's debut album. The pair wanted the record to feel like a story, where every song is like a chapter. Maddie Marlow described this tune to The Boot as "basically the beginning of our journey, just kind of taking that leap of faith and going after this crazy dream that we've both had forever."
  • Maddie & Tae wrote this right before they moved to Nashville to pursue their music dreams. Maddie Marlow told Glamour: "It's about having to take that leap of faith and go after your dreams. We wrote that song to pump ourselves up as we started this adventure. It's scary to leave your comfort zone. That's why we put that song first because that was the beginning of our whole journey."
