  • Maggie Rogers wrote this summer bop on the day of the national school walk out for gun control. She said in a press release that lyrically it's "about empathy," adding: "In the midst of all this fear and hate, what if we got the chance to re-introduce ourselves? What if somebody listened."
  • Filmed in Pacoima, California the video was co-directed by Rogers and Alan Del Rio Ortiz. "I was obsessed with '70s skate culture in high school and really just wanted to have a silly day recreating my favorite scenes from Lords of Dogtown and paying homage to my favorite Farrah Fawcett photos," explained Rogers. "Those early skate videos feel so raw and powerful, it was important to me to show that that energy could also be female."

The clip features two of Rogers' college pals, Rachel Matthews and Camila Mendes. She said: "We've been friends since the first week of our freshman year, but our schedules have gotten so beautifully and amazingly kind of crazy since we graduated a couple years ago. It was so much fun just to spend the day dancing and giggling with each other like the old days."
  • Rogers wrote the song with Greg Kurstin. Getting the American producer on board was quite a coup for Rogers as Kurstin's resume includes hit tunes for the likes of Kelly Clarkson ("What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)"), Adele ("Hello") and Sia ("Cheap Thrills)."
