  • Maggie Rose grew up going to Washington Redskins games, so it was a no-brainer when she was asked to write a song for Comcast SportsNet's coverage of the NFL team's 2013 season. "Everyone looks forward to football season because it means the fall is here, the tension between old rivals is at its peak and tailgating season is in full force," said Rose. "When Comcast SportsNet gave me the chance to write and perform a song about football season in all its glory, I was pumped because I have great memories of what makes this time of year so great."
  • Rose won an Emmy for the song. As the Country singer was committed to a music festival in Georgia, she was unable to attend the ceremony, so she sent her parents in her place. "I was on stage when the [Emmy] announcement was made," she recalled to Rolling Stone Country. "I was nervous during the show, knowing I'd find out as soon as I got off stage what the results were. And I got a text from my mom and dad with a picture of them holding the Emmy. It was so cute - they had such huge smiles."
