Songfacts®:

  • Fans who know Maroon 5 for their chart domination of the 2010s might be surprised by this song from their debut album, Songs About Jane. The mellow track builds for over 90 seconds before Adam Levine starts singing. The song finds him burning with desire, telling the object of his affection that he's willing to keep the encounter he's hoping for a secret.
  • This song was featured in the 2005 film The Wedding Date in a scene where Debra Messing (from Will & Grace) and Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend's Wedding) have an intimate moment, even though her character denies she has any feelings for her hired escort.
  • This is one of three songs from the album to feature backing vocals from Rashida Jones, daughter of Quincy Jones, who went on to star in Parks and Recreation. The other two are "Tangled" and "Not Coming Home."
