Songfacts®:

  • Meek Mill and Ella Mai talk about getting intimate with each other during this smooth ballad. They want it every day of the week, any hour of the day, "24/7."
  • When Meek Mill was sentenced to two to four years in state prison for violating his parole, The Carters were two of his biggest supporters. Jay-Z made a big donation towards his legal fees while Beyoncé advocated for Meek's release on DJ Khaled's "Top Off," rapping, "In the hood hollerin, 'Free Meek.'"

In a nod to the support Meek Mill received from the Carters, "24/7" samples Beyoncé's "Me, Myself And I" in the background and Ella Mai also interpolates its intro during the bridge.

And all my ladies, if you feel me, help me sing it out
  • Austin Powerz, E.Y, OZ and Pro Logic and Oz produced the track. The pair were working together at the time on a few different projects, and Oz sent ProLogic the file with the beat on it. Pro Logic recalled to Genius: "I started adding to it and structuring it. It was just a really dope collab to be a part of."

When ProLogic received the fole, the Beyoncé sample was already included. He said: "I'm pretty sure it was Oz that chopped that sample. It was pretty cool to see how he did it and how it all came together."
