Songfacts®:

  • This track dates back to Megadeth's Clash Of The Titans tour in 1991. The band made a demo for Countdown To Extinction, but decided it wasn't finished sufficiently. The song sat on the shelf for 13 years until it was included as a bonus track on the 2004 remixed and remastered Youthanasia record.
  • It was Megadeth drummer Shawn Drover who pushed for the song to be included on TH1RT3EN. Bassist Dave Ellefson told MusicRadar.com: "Of all the songs that have never been officially released as formal master recordings, he really thought it was ready."

He added: "It's such an old-school thrash tune. We re-recorded it, and I think we improved the outro section for the solos. Dave [Mustaine] updated some parts and made them more violent. It's so cool! [laughs] Here we are, 20 years later, finally getting the song right and made into a master recording."
