  • Written by Jackson, this was the last song chosen for the Bad album. Jackson wanted to use his song "Streetwalker" instead, but his producer Quincy Jones liked this one. They took both songs to Jackson's manager Frank DiLeo, who got up and started dancing when they played "Another Part Of Me." According to Jones, this sealed the deal and that song made the cut.

  • Jeff from Boston, MaI vividly remember this song playing as we walked out of Captain EO at Disney World in 1989. I've always heard it as a very positive and optimistic song.
  • Chris from California, CaStreetwalker should have made it on the album. They were limited by cassettes. I personally feel it should have replaced Speed Demon, which from what I have seen, didn't even place on the Billboard US chart. But as far as Another Part of Me is concerned, I must say that it is the best up-tempo song on the album. Can anyone say that they have ever heard a song that sounds like it? It is rythmically and melodically much more appealing that Street Walker. I'm not saying that anyones opinion is wrong. I'm just looking at it from an unbiased analysis of the beats, tempo and melodies that atracts the typical listener. It also provides a steady groove for Michael to move to, much more so than Stree Walker. I think this is one if Michaels best songs.
  • John from Nashville, TnAlthough this song went to #1 on the R&B charts, it stalled at #11 on the pop charts, becoming the first Michael Jackson single from his Sony/CBS solo albums to miss the top 10.
  • Helena from London, EnglandI like this song but Streetwalker was better MJ song. If it was released at that time in 1987 it would have been a hit. No doubt.
  • Passion from Canton, OhThis song is awesome.
  • Sarah Floyd from Bloomingdale, Ili like this song and street walker. i wish he could've released street walker and this song everybodys happy. and i love this song because he has another part of him that wants to change and then stay that way. and help little children stay alive. but not malest them to be better. and i think michael jackson is a sweet and loving man!! love you michael jackson!
  • Joshua from Niagara Falls, CanadaI like the song but i like Street walker better. I think that if he released that instead of Another part of me, it would have been another one of MJ's classic hits.
  • Jam Kemal from Lindua, South AfricaThis song is so underrated. It was ahead of it's time, with all the mechanical songs. Thanks to Quincy Jones, it made the album, because Michael wanted to replace it with Street Walker which can be found on Bad Special Edition. (Both songs are written by Jackson though)
