Songfacts®:

  • Mikky Ekko is an American singer-songwriter and record producer who is best known for featuring on Rihanna's 2013 single "Stay," which charted in countries across the globe. This is a single from his debut album.
  • The song was inspired by the 2011 London riots that left England's capital city in a state of mayhem. Ekko penned the song during his first trip to London. He told Digital Spy: "I'd been here two days, then the riots started!"

Ekko added: "For me there's a lot of melancholy associated with it, so hopefully it can be taken either way - terrifying or happy!"
