  • New York-based MisterWives came together after frontwoman Mandy Lee decided she needed a band to give her songs some additional instrumentation. "I remember my old manager told me about backing tracks, and I was like, 'Wait, what?,'" she told Billboard magazine. "For me, that was something I was never going to touch."

Lee hooked up with Etienne Bowler, Will Hehir, Marc Campbell and Dr. Blum and the quintet came up with a gender-corrected version of the Mormon term "sister wife" for the group's name.
  • This is a track from MisterWives' debut album Our Own House. "We hope 'Hurricane' is an anthem for those who believe in individuality and don't give a f--k about what others think," Lee told Billboard.
