Songfacts®:

  • This Spanish-tinged Pop cut about stolen kisses was originally earmarked to be a B-side rather than a World Peace Is None of Your Business track. However, after sequencing the album, Morrissey added the tune as he felt like there needed to be a lighter, more energetic song.
  • It was Morrissey's idea for keyboardist Gustavo Manzur to sing the "Bésame mucho" part. Producer Joe Chiccarelli recalled to Radio.com: "I remember him asking Gus, "How do you say 'Kiss me a lot' in Spanish?" It's "Bésame mucho!"
