Songfacts®:

  • Mr. Hudson and The Library are led by Oxford graduate Ben Hudson. After the band's debut album A Tale of Two Cities flopped, Hudson escaped to Paris to think things through. On his return to London, he found a message from Kanye West saying he had adopted this number as "our song" for him and his then-girlfriend. The rapper signed Hudson to his Good Music label and invited him to work on his 808's & Heartbreak album. The Englishman was featured on "Paranoid" and provided backing vocals on several other tracks.
