Songfacts®:

  • In 2008, as Secretary of State in the Bush Administration, Condoleezza Rice travelled to Libya to meet Muammar Gaddafi. It was known that the eccentric Libyan leader had a "thing" for her, but three years later she revealed that he told her, "I have Libya's best composer, most famous composer write this song for you." Then he showed her a slideshow consisting of photographs of herself accompanied by the song.

Very little else is known about this masterpiece, largely due to her uncharacteristic coyness, although there are several dubious versions floating around in cyberspace. >>>
