Songfacts®:

  • Natalie Prass wrote this erotic baroque cut about a love triangle with her then boyfriend Kyle Ryan Hurlbut, three years before the release of her debut eponymous album. When she originally penned the song, it wasn't personal at all, but later the tune proved to be prophetic. She told Uncut: "At that time, the song didn't have any sort of narrative to my personal experience. But then a couple of years later, that song sort of came true. And the girl's name is almost 'Christy.' We split up in the middle of recording the album."
