Songfacts®:

  • This soulful ballad was inspired by someone that Sykes was very close to when he was part of The Wanted. He explained: "When the band decided to take a break they suddenly stopped talking to me. It prompted me to ask the very simple question what do I have to do to make you care about me as much as I care about you? Do I have to be Famous?"
  • Sykes' fairweather friend texted him immediately after his debut solo single "Kiss Me Quick" was released. He told Digital Spy: "I'm like, 'Really? You can't be that shallow?' It's funny how some people work."
  • Nathan Sykes wrote the song with Unfinished Business executive producer Harmony Samuels (Ariana Grande's "The Way") alongside Major Johnson Finley and Carmen Reece. The same quartet also penned his "Over and Over Again" single.
