Album: Rock with Sedaka (1960)

Songfacts®:

  • Recorded as the B-Side of (the original!) "Stairway To Heaven," this is one of the few songs Sedaka recorded that he had no part in writing - it was composed by his fellow Screen Gems writers Barry Mann and Larry Kolber.

Like the A-Side, it was recorded with Stan Applebaum and his Orchestra.
  • "Forty Winks" is a term meaning a night's sleep. In this song, Sedaka takes comfort in knowing that no matter their physical distance, he can always be with his girl in his dreams.
