  • The song features the voice of Ariana Grande, who seductively croons the hook. Nicki explained that she had had the chorus for a year without thinking of putting someone else on it. When Ariana paid a visit to the rapper's studio she offered to get on something for Queen. At first Nicki couldn't think of anything that would be suitable, but when she left, somebody else suggested "Bed" and everybody else in the studio started screaming.

    Once Ariana recorded the hook, she sent it right back. According to Nicki she, "added all these beautiful harmonies and runs. Never over does it. Just ALWAYS gets it right. I fell in love. I called her screaming."
  • "Bed" is one of many collaborations between Grande and Minaj. After they both appeared on Jessie J's smash "Bang Bang" in 2014, Grande was featured on Minaj's "Get on Your Knees" later that year and the Queens rapper returned the favor on Grande's 2016 Dangerous Woman track "Side to Side." Minaj and Grande also join forces on "The Light Is Coming" from the latter's 2018 album Sweetener.
