  • The first single released by Scherzinger since she signed a worldwide deal to Sony Music at the start of 2013, the song and the rest of the album are the results of a collaboration between her and The Dream and Tricky Stewart. "The Dream and Tricky know me inside out, they are like my family,' explained Scherzinger about the partnership with the songwriting pair who are best known for Rihanna's mega hit "Umbrella." "I had to make this whole album with it just being the three of us. For the first time in my career I feel like this album is me, it's real. It's a very personal album for me. It is a reflection of the woman I am, the woman I am not and the woman I want to be."
  • The song is all about that special feeling we get when you fall in love. Speaking on UK TV show Good Morning Britain, Scherzinger opened up about how relationships affect her. "Love makes me feel like... it's just that unexplainable feeling that love makes you feel," she grinned. "It's just like 'ahhhh'. Like everything; fireworks and all that yummy, gushy stuff."
  • The music video was shot on May 19, 2014 on a Malibu, California beach. The clip was directed by Dawn Shadforth whose other credits include Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" and Florence + the Machine's "Shake It Out."

Scherzinger told Digital Spy the clip was shot on the beach as she wanted to take it back to her roots. "I was in my element with the sun, the ocean and the sand," she said. "What really inspired me was Janet Jackson's video for 'Love Will Never Do.' You just fall in love with her and you feel like you see a beautiful side of Janet that you don't always get to see when she's on stage performing. My fans know that side of me, so I just wanted to make sure I gave that to them."
  • Asked by Digital Spy why she chose this as the lead single, Scherzinger replied: "It's actually unlike any other song on my new album. It's more poppy. The other songs are pop, but they're more urban-pop. I just remember the feeling I got when I went back to my room and I just couldn't stop singing the song. It had a hold on me. I woke up and it was still lingering."
